Oman Airports Management Company organize an awareness campaign for the removal of foreign objects (FOD) from the Airsaide of Salalah Airport. The event was on 1 Nov 2016.OAMC is keen to implement campaigns to remove such foreign objects periodically to ensure the safety and security of aircraft and personnel at all airports which it oversees and to raise awareness of the seriousness of the existence of these objects on the airport and the need to free it from any objects that can affect air traffic passengers and the safety of airport users. Such campaigns are held annually in airports around the world. It is also in line with OAMC’s strategic goal of placing Oman’s airports among the top 20 airports in the world by 2020.
